I very much enjoyed Prof Weber's class. I found his teaching style to be effective and his French clear and easy to understand at just about any level. There were quite a few writing assignments (ranging from about 2-3 250 word writing assignments a week) and four three-page essays (double-spaced).

I found that professor Weber was very nice and a great teacher. He speaks exclusively french in class which seems to be tough for some students. If you're coming into 201 from a high school education in french you should be fine in terms of subject matter, and most people who come from 101 also have a good grasp in the class as well. All in all, great class, easy tests, easy hw.

I've taken a few courses with Prof Weber now and I've found he's an extremely effective and engaging teacher. The class is very discussion-based, but you can still get a good participation grade even if your point isn't substantial but he can see you are trying to communicate it. Homework consists of reading and grammar worksheets, which are super easy and quick. The class itself is engaging and short, while also relaxed. You don't have to speak each class if you don't want to either. This is the last French class you will study grammar in, beyond this level you just read and write essays. The proficiency level of the class varies greatly, which was really comforting as someone who isn't very good at speaking, but hopes to get better.
