Julien Weber
I liked Weber's class! I thought he was engaging and worked with the set syllabus well. His lecture style is slow and annunciated, so pretty easy to understand. The class had around four larger exams/essays and then smaller writing assignments throughout, all of which were manageable.
Professor Weber is really flexible and great in supporting students. The course is fast-paced and you will definitely pick up French and be able to use it in daily context though limited. The course is also immersive with inclusion of cultural factors and cover all aspects of language from reading, comprehension, listening, researching, and oral skills.
Prof. Weber is a fantastic professor and is passionate about the material he teaches. We spent most of the semester reading "Petit Pays" by Gail Faye, which was a really interesting book; after the reading homework, we would spend a good portion of class discussing. There were exams and grammar assignments--however, this class was a breath of fresh air after taking 201! I really enjoyed this class and would highly recommend Prof. Weber.
