Julia Berazneva
The course covers many basic climate concepts and technologies. Slideshows are long and boring, brushing over lots of content. If you don’t know anything about climate tech it would be a fine course to take
The class is relatively straightforward and the math involved is just basic calculus (i.e. taking a derivative). There were four exams in the class, but only the best three scores counted, and most students ended up not having to take the final. The problem sets aren't too hard and the discussion sessions each week are dedicated to working on them which is helpful. The exams are relatively easy.

Professor Berazneva made Micro Theory a very enjoyable, interesting class. Her lectures were engaging, which made a topic that might seem boring feel more thought-provoking. It was also very structured, with a quiz, a problem set, and a reading application every week, which helped to not fall behind and to understand the application of the concepts we were learning to actual research being done in the field. There are three tests and a final, but she lets you drop one, and she's a very fair grader. I will say that the class does take quite a bit of time, especially on exam weeks, to review all of the material.
