John Maluccio
Maluccio is a very kind and effective professor! There are two short papers and a research paper, and I believe he is a fair grader. He is very understanding and goes over all the concepts in a clear manner. I recommend this course to anyone that needs an economic seminar.
I really enjoyed this course, and think that the professor is very effective and understanding in his teaching style. He grades the two short essays very fairly and there is a final research paper. There are weekly readings, which you discuss in class. I learned so much from me, and you are given a lot of autonomy to pick topics on things that interest you.

Also, this course has certain history elements to it, so if you are curious about economic history (or just history), this is a valuable course as we learned about the economic phenomena that led to how Latin America is today.
