John Maluccio
This was a very interesting elective to take. Professor Maluccio's interest in the topic is already a very helpful attribute to the class if you are not particularly interested in the topic yourself. However, more importantly, this class has broader relevance for economics students. I think it is a very valuable introduction to international economics presented in a simpler context to begin with. Also, this course has certain history elements to it, so if you are curious about economic history (or just history), this is a valuable course as we learned about the economic phenomena that led to how Latin America is today.

Very interesting class, and gave avenues to explore and write about what you were interested in. Professor Maluccio was very nice and engaged in the material. I highly recommend this class for an Econ seminar.
John really knows a lot about the subject and is always excited to talk to us about different class-related topics. It's also funny when he goes on slight tangents. Very accommodating. Highly recommended.
