This was a super interesting course covering the impact of invasive species on ecosystems. This course covered a wide range of topics, from cultural impacts to successional stages to scientific communication. The workload was completely manageable for a J-term class. Jesse and Katy have an awesome dynamic together with contrasting backgrounds that make for some really interesting and nuanced discussions. The weekly guest speakers provide you with an array of perspectives to draw conclusions from.

Cool and thought-provoking course. Sometimes felt like it was getting off-track, but I generally had a good experience. The guest speakers are relevant and engaging. Expect daily, but brief, reflections on class with/ one weekly writing assignment and a final paper.
This course was a fun, easy j-term elective. There were few readings and applied projects, but the heart of the class was in the daily discussions during lecture. I would recommend this course to underclassmen students.
