James Fitzsimmons

Prof. Fitzsimmons was awesome and really did a great job explaining the different theories surrounding the anthropology of death and mortuary rituals. He was super engaging and made class really fun. He is so accomplished in his field and has the most amazing stories to tell and all around he was one of the best profs I have had at Midd so far! If you can, definitely take a class with him.

This course is fast-paced, but extremely interesting. Prof. Fitzsimmons is very passionate about the subject, and he makes his lectures engaging. The exams are difficult, but as long as you study and show up to class, you will do good.

LOVE THE PROF! HE IS SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO GREAT. I would take any course with Fitzsimmons, he loves what he does and knows a lot. The class has a lot of readings but they are manageable. Essays are achievable.
