Isabelle Langrock
This course was very interesting. It mixed R coding with sociological concepts. One class period was spent on lecture and reviewing readings, and the second class period was more code-based, and time to work on the in-class lab. Overall, very interactive.
Although Professor Langrock approaches the course with lots of enthusiasm her teaching abilities are extremely lack luster. She struggles to pace herself, often rushing over important codes. A course as simple as this one was made unnecessary difficult by her inability to teach. Many students had to rely on Q-center hours to understand lessons and complete homework. In addition to her underdeveloped teaching abilities her grading style is rigid and provides little to no feedback. I do believe that she has the potential to become a more capable professor but she unfortunately isn’t there yet.

Prof Langrock is a newer professor but her teaching style is so fresh, especially mixed with the material. This course was really interesting because we weren't just discussing the history of feminism, but also the future, as we navigate everything being mixed into the online world. Our weekly class sessions were full of interesting themes as well as interesting conversation, where student input and enthusiasm were what made the class run very well.
