German Reyes

Overall, I had a good time in this class and learned a lot. Reyes is a very capable professor who is super passionate about the subject. The course was not super work heavy but the exams were very difficult and harshly graded.

I took this course with Reyes for his first semester at Middlebury. It was overwhelming at first having to memorize long derivations and do difficult problem sets, but the grading was very fair. I thought that the professor found his rhythm by the end of the semester and after getting to know him better I started to really like the course. It was a lot of work but definitely worthwhile and I learned a lot.

Reyes is kind and passionate, but new to teaching and can struggle at times to create fair exams (either too easy or too hard) and to convey certain topics. Would spend a lot of time on the easy stuff and less time on the hard stuff which was frustrating at points
