Eric Moody
The labs are great and you get the chance to be outside and in the feild a lot which I loved! The lectures can be somewhat dry though. The workload mostly consists of lab reports and readings to prepare for class discussions that are very laid back.
I really enjoyed this class, especially the lab portion. The way the course was structured was you would have a lecture Monday and Friday, while you met with a small group every Wednesday to answer the weekly reading questions. I didn't really enjoy this aspect of the course because I don't think I learned a lot from talking about the readings with my peers. I would have enjoyed it more if it was just 3 days a week of pure lectures. With that said, I also really liked Professor Moody. He was super nice and it's obvious that he loves biology. The exams are somewhat difficult, but they are graded fairly and aren't too bad if you keep up with the textbook reading.

Biostats teaches important information for any biology major. I really enjoyed learning R, and Eric Moody is the best. The main forms of assessment are weekly problem sets and an end of the year independent project and presentation that incorporate biostatistics.
