Eco-evo is a major requirment for me, which is why I took it, but it was incredibly slow-paced. The material is not difficult to understand, but you must be able to remember 99% of the material by heart to do well on the exams. They are relatively easy and open-book, but the prompts are vague and are expected to be answered in a "blurt everything you can" fashion, with points deducted when you miss any of the key words they are looking for. Even if your answer is 100% correct, they will still deduct points for not including all of the keywords. Homework and reading is also simple and will not be too much to worry about. Professor Moody is kind and really passionate about his work so it is an interesting class nonetheless.

Great combination of lectures, discussions, and fieldwork. Each week we had a lecture, a reading, and discussion groups on the same topic which helped me to really understand each topic. The lab worked a lot with excel. Outdoor labs were engaging and fun.

I really enjoyed this course, Professor Moody is a very engaging professor. The lecture/discussion structure was very helpful for retaining information. The lab portion of the class is also very helpful for learning to navigate excel, and there are lots of fun/interesting outdoor labs.
