Emma Guiberson

Prof. Guiberson did not explain things very clearly during lectures. She spent too much time answering questions. The lab was unnecessarily difficult, but at least the professors made it easier at the end of the semester to correct that.

This class was taught by Professor Guiberson and Professor Miller. Professor Guiberson has already taught this class before but did a significantly worse job than Miller. Her grading standards are atrocious and not clear, she does not really help out with the students that much in lab because it seems like she does not understand the material. I reached out to Professor Miller only throughout the semester for office hours.

Professor Guiberson was a very passionate and energetic professor that cared about her students. However, lectures would often be describred in a confusing manner which is hard to understand topics in class because the textbook can also be dense. Weekly practice problems were helpful but again hard to understand without a solid grasp on concepts. Weekly quizzes were quite easy which stands in contrast with the exams. Professor provides almost no practice for exams and found it extremely hard to prepare for exams. Overall course content was interesting but everything builds on each other. I found lab and lab professors to be more considerably more helpful in really understanding concepts.
