Don Wyatt
While the subject matter of this class was enjoyable and the course moved at a good pace - not sticking to one subject for too long nor speeding along too quickly for comprehension - the style may not be for everyone. We met twice each week in which the professor lectured with a slideshow and read off a script, the last 10 minutes of class dedicated to an open Q&A. Between classes we had a frankly ridiculous amount of readings (sometimes entire books) which were ultimately not incorporated into any exam and merely provided supplemental content to our lectures.

Genuinely the worst class I have ever taken. Wyatt comes into class with a script, reads it in an extremely monotone voice, and then at the end asks for questions. I wanted to take this course to fill my dist req, but not worth it. Never take this class.
I was at first kind of skeptical about taking a class with Wyatt, mostly based on stuff I had read on here--and that was a huge mistake! The structure of this class made it so that the first 20-25 minutes were Prof. Wyatt lecturing us on context about the reading (yes, he can be monotonous, but his level of expertise and passion makes this not a big deal), and the remaining time is devoted to answering very structured questions about the reading, which are always easy to answer. I learned so much in this class, and found every reading (although sometimes hefty) to be extremely insightful and purposeful.
