David Dorman
MATH
I enjoy math, but honestly linear algebra has been the toughest math class I've taken so far, and Dormans teaching style does not help. The way he teaches, its a little difficult to keep up and he misses out on some content during lecture that is assigned for homework. Linear is an interesting concept.
This class was taken with Evan Camrud, not David Dorman. No option to select Ean unfortunately. This was a great course and Evan is very receptive to feedback in the course. Homework is also graded as a group, which sounds bad initially, but it creates a cohesiveness that I haven't had in any other math class.
This course was very interesting. Doorman is particularly very enthusiastic about the material which makes the class engaging, however, he is very much all over the place and sometimes hard to follow. He is a good guy, but at times too unorganized and spontaneous, and the standards of evaluation weren't always clear. He is, however, very understanding. Most exams were take-home which alleviated a lot of the stress I had about the class.
