Daniel Velleman

One of the most valuable courses a student can take at middlebury. If there was one course that encapsulated the academic experience at middlebury, this would be it. I would recommend this course only to non math majors, they will find the most value from it.

Easily the most challenging class I've taken at Middlebury, but certainly a very rewarding experience. We started with over 20 people in the class and ended the semester with about 10. The material is quite difficult, but Velleman did a great job explaining it in a clear manner. He is also very clear in terms of his expectations for assignments, and is pretty generous when it comes to grading. Overall, if you're ready to put in the effort, I'd definitely recommend the course.
