Intro to Black Studies is a really interesting and engaging class. The professor is very nice, understanding, and makes sure everyone feels comfortable participating. The discussions are thoughtful and eye-opening, and the material gives you a deeper understanding of history, culture, and identity. I’d definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in learning more about social issues and perspectives that often go unexplored in other courses

Professor Silva was an amazing professor, and the assigned readings were incredibly interesting. I believe all students should take a black studies class, and this class with Silva is really worth it. He is super understanding and flexible, and I would 100% recommend this class.

Intro to Black Studies was a very engaging class, the professor made each class like a seminar where everybody's ideas were heard and given its importance. The class covered readings before class with written discussion sections.
