Daniel Brayton
This class is super interesting and a fun way to think about environmentalism. It allows you to dig into and fight against the typically narrative to get into the depth of environmental issues. This class helps you make arguments and expand your critical thinking.
I like Prof. Brayton a lot. He rambles quite often, but a lot of what he says is of value. A lot of readings, but he often goes over them in class - and also be sure to participate in discussions. It was a bit harder for us because the class is large but just speaking a few times is good. The main component is 3 papers, and he has very fair grading. It's kind of easy to skip the readings but a lot of them are notable figures, and he is very open about his political views - liberal and left leaning a lot.

Professor Brayton is a very charismatic lecturer and very passionate about literature. Our 2-hour class never seemed long because everyone was very engaged in discussions. I really enjoyed the selection of short stories and the novel we read (The Remains of the Day). On the first day of class he claimed to be a harsh grader but offers workshop opportunities and gives great feedback.
