Claudio Medeiros

This course was very fun and fulfilling. The first half of the semester mostly involved readings and discussions. For the second half, most of the homework consisted of leading rehearsals outside of class. You need to present a midterm scene and a final scene (both of which you need to find actors for). Claudio is very fun and enthusiastic. He can certainly be a little intense, but you can tell he cares about your learning and is very accommodating to your needs. If you are clearly putting effort into the discussions and scenes, he's pretty nice about grading.

I had a great time in Directing 1 with Claudio. He is great to be around and a great professor. I am an acting focus, so directing is a skill I had never done before this class. I can now say that I feel competent as a director now that its the end of the semester. He was very effective in explaining things to us and facilitated excellent class discussions.

I had a great time in acting 1 with Claudio. I thought he was a very enthusiastic professor, which is very helpful, especially in an acting class. Most of our work was done during class, and there were journal entries due every three weeks. When working on a scene, you might spend 2-3 hours a week rehearsing before presenting in class.
