The education professors really have to teach what they preach. They are the most accommodating and understanding group of professors at this college. Overall, I think the education studies classes are among the most valuable I have taken at Middlebury. You learn very helpful information that can be applied to various other courses, as well as how to live your day-to-day life. Professor Johnson is so knowledgeable about what she teaches, and it was such a joy to attend that class every week.

Christina is an extremely kind, understanding, and approachable professor. This course requires a willingness to be honest and vulnerable about personal past experiences in educational environments. I felt that many of the best classroom discussions arose out of student willingness to tie their own lives and stories to course readings/content and reflect upon those connections aloud.

Professor Johnston is a very kind and understanding person. She is enthusiastic and engaged with her work.The course is very light on work and relies mostly on visits to local schools. Discussion in the course relies mostly on your personal experience and thoughts. The course is amazing if you are looking to engage with local children. It was a wonderful J-term class that moved quickly and I would take it again.
