Charlie was a great instructor and cared about both the class and all of the work we were doing. A lot of the labs were based on real life events where we would find our own data, so I liked that it felt very real. It was definitely a lot of work, especially right before a lab was due, but I enjoyed taking the class and especially with Charlie. Charlie is a phenomenal instructor. This class is an incredible introduction to GIS and the technical aspects of environmental GIS in a very approachable way. I could not reccommend this class enough. He makes something that can be extremely boring and tedious into something super interesting and meaningful.

I loved my experience in this course. While we did have a significant workload, I thought that all of our projects were engaging and satisfying. Charlie is a great professor and explains complicated topics clearly. The class is half in QGIS and half in Google Earth Engine, so you get a sample of both programs.
