Carolyn Finney

This course was extremely stimulating and thought provoking. It taught me to look at the world from a different perspective and it invited different ideas and opinions to be shared. Carolyn was a fantastic instructor for this course and it really was a pleasure to be a part of this class.

Dr. Carolyn is an incredibly passionate teacher and share a lot of wisdom during every class. She will not shy away from any content and it is all very relevant and interesting. I highly recommend this class.

Lectures in the first half of the semester were very valuable and involved guest speakers, and the content of readings is also necessary for ENVS students to know. Most of the work in this class revolves around a project through which you're intended to explore your relationship with the environment. While this turned out alright towards the end of the semester, this class was actually pretty stressful for someone who likes to have the details of an assignment written out early and made abundantly clear. It sometimes seemed like we were putting off discussion of it for later.
