This class is honestly really rewarding, even if you aren't a psych major it teaches you about human and societal behavior and norms, more specifically how and why certain things happen/exist regarding our behavior, norms, etc. Professor Carlos is really kind and always willing to help struggling students even encouraging you to go to office hours, but for the most part the readings (PLEASE READ!) and lecture slides guide the course. Not many exams, but they are based on readings/slides so make sure you understand concepts beforehand. The final was a project we work on throughout the semester which was really amazing to get more experience with psych work and research, but also delve into topics that interested us in the realm of social psychology (which was extremely broad). 10/10 Recommend!

I really enjoyed taking Social Psychology. The class made me think about how people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped by the social world around them. I liked that it connected real-life examples to the theories we learned, which made the material feel meaningful and easy to apply. The discussions were interesting, and I felt like I could actually see how psychology plays out in everyday situations. Overall, it was one of my favorite psych classes, engaging, relevant, and very well taught.

I took this course with Professor Fenstermacher in the spring on Monday nights from 7:30-10. This course is VERY low effort. I did not do the readings, but paid attention and took good notes during our single class period and was able to succeed in the course. It can be a bit boring, and the late meeting time can be tough, but the professor gave us multiple break,s and it was manageable.
