I took Frontiers in Political Science to get the methods requirement out of the way for the Poli Sci major. Its a nice class that started off with lectures on the emergence of Politics as a quantified study and then goes into beginner stats/coding on R. I sucked at it but others in my class did well so I think it was a me issue. Prof graded fairly and was super understanding

Very interesting course material. Prof. Johnson is very passionate about Federalism and makes lectures relevant and engaging. The class starts off with federalism then finishes off with town politics, so some parts may be more interesting than others. My personal favorite thus far has been city politics. Reading responses are required for four times the whole semester but they are only two pages and not difficult if you actually do the readings

Bert Johnson is a great teacher and enthusiastic about this course. The work in general was manageable, but the readings got a little tedious. There is a nice mix of discussions of current events, explanations of governmental structures, and history.
