Bahia Munem

Professor Munem is so kind and accommodating. I loved the readings for this class, specifically the ones on hegemonic masculinity and about the intersection of racism and misogyny. The papers are fun to write. Would definitely take another class with her.

Professor Munem is very passionate about the class content and teaches it through various media (videos, readings, discussions). Readings are interesting, not too long, and intentional. The papers are short and approachable. The final project is open-ended and can be completed individually or in a group. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to learn more about gender and its relation to class, race, and s*x!

Professor Munem is genuinely awesome. Her passion and enthusiasm for the subject are very evident. She also does a good job making the class approachable (this is the first gender studies class I have ever taken and I don't feel out of place), but also introduces her students to a wide range of texts, ideas, and evidence. This class is very thought-provoking and very interesting!!
