Andrea Vaccari
Vaccari has a lot of passion for CS and it really shows. Super fun guy to chat with and to learn from. This class focused on building up fundamental embedded systems programming skills working with microcontrollers programming in Arduino or PlatformIO. Homeworks were applying things learned in class, going back to slides is helpful. Overall not too much work per week. Final group project, you choose what the project is, determine what parts you need (motors, sensors, etc.) and build it all up with ESP32's. Great class overall, and pretty chill.

Vaccari is excellent. Very enthusiastic, kind, and knowledgeable. The class is about building layers of abstraction on top of each other starting from transistors and logic gates and eventually coding in C. It progressively gets more difficult throughout the term.
I thought that Professor Vaccari was a great professor for this class, and the overall style of his teaching and the class structure was very effective. I do think that the homeworks were often graded very harshly, especially the more tedious parts such as writing the tests. Additionally, the in person exams were very difficult. Overall, I thought that the professor was great, but I wasn't a total fan of how the class was graded.
