Amy Morsman
This course had a weekly discussion, for which we frequently had a lot of reading (up to 300+ pages). The actual lectures were somewhat hard to follow. We were definitely babied in the group projects, which left little time for actual lecture. There is a strong emphasis on participation, which she grades fairly harshly. Quizzes every other week were easy with options for extra credit throughout the semester.

While Professor Morsman is very passionate and engaging, she also seems super disorganized. She constantly has to change her plans because she talked for too long, got off-topic, or didn't check the time. It's like she thinks her students can't do stuff on their own and need to be walked through everything. She also spends much of our discussion sections talking about how we need to talk more and then also calling on the same three people.

Professor Morsman somewhat babies you through the whole course. I did well on the quizzes, which were pretty easy; the group project was very slow-paced, and 40% of the grade was participation. I feel as though I participated a pretty sufficient amount and then ended up with a grade I didn't want, so if you're going to take the class, literally talk the entire discussion.
